Bird talk

Today Virginia Best who is a waitakiri park ranger from the council came to talk to us about birds and their predators and introduced pests with Rm22, Rm7 and Rm8. We learnt that the most endangered Gull was the Black Billed Gull, the fastest NZ bird is a NZ falcon (also known in maori as kareakarea).  

Did you know that the endangered Ruppell's griffon vulture is the highest flying bird ever recorded the height that it can reach is 37,000 feet that's the average height at which a airplane travels.

1. A person who is my hero is Sir Edmund Hillary.
2. This person is my hero because was the first person to climb to the top of the tallest mountain in world and he was a New Zealander.
3. Two words that describe this person are that he is courageous and brave.
4. One thing the person does that I admire is that he never gave up no matter how hard it was.
5. One way I can be more like my hero is by trying hard and never give up

Are you a hero? Write a few sentences telling about something that you did that you think was heroic. well I don't know if i'm a hero but when I was little I saw someone drop their wallet at the zoo and I picked it and ran over to the man and gave him his wallet to him.

My Holiday

Me and my family went up north to a beach called Omaha. It took and hour and we left at 6:00 pm we ended up there at 7:00 am later. We went for a few walks along the beach the water was warm most of the time and the water was really clear and the sand trickled through our toes. My youngest sister learned to ride her bike my dad or mum helped her out most the time but by the end of the week she didn't really need any help. After we came back from the beach my mum took my sisters and I to see the movie Lion King in Titan XC extreme cinema experience I really enjoyed the movie I found it funny when Simba was a cub his best friend Nala how she always pinned him in the cinema the sound was loud and it reverberated around the room and the screen was super clear.

When I'm ..... years old

1. When I’m twelve years old I’ll get myself a job doing paper rounds to earn some money for saving up something. And a facebook account
2. When I’m  thirteen years old I’d have a ginormous tv, computer 
3. When I’m fourteen years old I’ll be a major gamer and youtuber
4. When I’m fifteen years old I’ll start doing extreme sports.
5. When I’m sixteen years old I’ll be amazed how fast I’m growing old
6. When I’m seventeen years old I’ll have a  Honda CB1100 Ex.
7. When I’m eighteen years old I’ll have a girlfriend.
8. \When I’m nineteen years old I’ll get a new job as a security guard.
9. When I’m twenty years old I’ll get married and live in a five story luxury mansion with a private theatre.
10. When I’m twenty one years old I’ll become a nascar driver.

Stargazer

The old man gazed up into the sky using his big & long telescope. So they

were swimming through the  billions of colorful stars. It was a dark and

warm beautiful night

The long multi colored trail speeding on comets, like a cape. It was a dark and warm beautiful night.

The old man lifted his gaze so it was resting on the sky. He reached for his big long & black

telescope and put his eye by the worn eye hole the sky was swimming with billions of colorful stars. I

wonder what it would be like to be up in the stars suddenly I collapsed on telescope and my eyes

drifted shut suddenly when I opened my eyes I found myself strapped into the captains seat in the

middle of the cockpit  when a man rushed in from a pair of high tech sliding doors and said to me

: Sir we need to land for refueling. As we were heading down to the planets I got a good look at the

stars all of a sudden alarms went off : CODE RED CODE RED a huge tentacle broke through the

doors and started strangling me. The next day the old man was found dead from a heart attack next

to his telescope.
